NOVELTY - A nano-electrocatalyst comprises graphene as carrier, and palladium nanoparticles (10-40 mass%) as active material. USE - Nano-electrocatalyst used for electrooxidation of formic acid or used in fuel batteries. ADVANTAGE - The nano-electrocatalyst has uniform diameter of palladium nanoparticles and high electrocatalytic activity for electrooxidation of formic acid. The preparation of the nano-electrocatalyst has less energy consumption, and quick and simple technique. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of nano-electrocatalyst, comprising: (A) ultrasonically dispersing a graphite oxide nanosheet (0.48-1.3 g/L) in liquid polyatomic alcohol; (B) adding palladium salt solution (0.0005-0.005 mol/L) and sodium acetate solution (0.0033-0.012 mol/L) to the mixture, and uniformly mixing; (C) microwave heating the mixture for 5-10 minutes in a microwave hydrothermal reaction kettle; and (D) filtering resultant product, cleaning and drying.
