NOVELTY - Surface functionalized spherical nano-silicon dioxide-graphene oxide/polymer composite tanning agent preparation involves mixing aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol-silicon dioxide (PVA-SiO2) or aqueous solution of polyethylene glycol-silicon dioxide (PEG-SiO2) and graphene oxide aqueous solution at 40-60 degrees C under stirring for 6-8 hours, and then centrifuging and drying to obtain polyvinyl alcohol-silicon dioxide-graphene oxide (PVA-SiO2-GO) or polyethylene glycol-silicon dioxide-graphene oxide (PEG-SiO2-GO). USE - Method for preparing surface functionalized spherical nano-silicon dioxide-graphene oxide/polymer composite tanning agent (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method prepares the surface functionalized spherical nano-SiO2-graphene oxide/polymer composite tanning agent in a simple and cost-effective manner with improved wet and heat stability, and anti-static and flame retardant properties, and meets the performance requirements of the finished leather. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Surface functionalized spherical nano-silicon dioxide-graphene oxide/polymer composite tanning agent preparation involves mixing aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol-silicon dioxide (PVA-SiO2) or aqueous solution of polyethylene glycol-silicon dioxide (PEG-SiO2) and graphene oxide aqueous solution at 40-60 degrees C under stirring for 6-8 hours, and then centrifuging and drying to obtain polyvinyl alcohol-silicon dioxide-graphene oxide (PVA-SiO2-GO) or polyethylene glycol-silicon dioxide-graphene oxide (PEG-SiO2-GO).
