NOVELTY - Coated graphene amphiphilic nanomaterial, comprises graphene amphiphilic nano material and nano paraffin emulsion coated on graphene amphiphilic nano material in layered structure. USE - The nanomaterial is useful in plugging agent and aqueous drilling fluid for oil and gas drilling (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The coated graphene amphiphilic nano material has significant high temperature inhibition and plugging properties so that mud cake formed in wellbore is dense and smooth, improves lubricity of drilling fluid, and reduces fluid loss. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) preparing coated graphene amphiphilic nanomaterial comprising coating material containing graphene amphiphilic nano material, liquid paraffin and emulsifier to obtain coated graphene amphiphilic nano material; (2) plugging agent, comprising coated graphene amphiphilic nanomaterial; and (3) aqueous drilling fluid, comprising plugging agent and additives, where additives include at least one of bentonite, amine inhibitor, sulfomethyl phenolic resin, polyethylene glycol, polyanionic cellulose, potassium chloride, and sodium carbonate, the content of each component is: 0.5-5 wt.% plugging agent, 1-4 wt.% bentonite, 1-3 wt.% amine inhibitor, 2-4 wt.% sulfomethyl phenolic resin, 2-7 wt.% polyethylene glycol, 0.5-3 wt.% polyanionic cellulose, 0.5-3 wt.% potassium chloride, and 0.1-0.5 wt.% sodium carbonate and water (balance amount).
