NOVELTY - Carbon heat sink comprises a graphene layer and an aluminum foil layer that are connected by a thermally conductive adhesive, where the graphene layer is an ionic liquid modified graphene layer, and the contact surface between the aluminum foil layer and thermally conductive adhesive is a rough surface. USE - The carbon heat sink is useful in sophisticated electronic products with high heat dissipation requirement. ADVANTAGE - The sink improves the longitudinal thermal conductivity of the graphene layer, increases the contact area between the aluminum foil layer and thermal conductive adhesive, improves the bonding strength between the aluminum foil layer and thermally conductive adhesive, and improves the overall heat dissipation efficiency of the sink. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the sink, involving (a) preparing the ionic liquid modified graphene layer, (b) preparing the conductive adhesive, and (c) coating a layer of thermally conductive adhesive on the rough surface of the aluminum foil layer, and covering the ionic liquid modified graphene layer and compositing on a rewinder.
