▎ 摘 要

NOVELTY - Chalcogen-grafted carbon having carbon which is a polyaromatic carbon and the chalcogen X is covalently linked to the carbon via C=X and/or C-X-C bonds. USE - Chalcogen-grafted carbon. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a functionalized chalcogen-grafted carbon, where carbon is polyaromatic carbon comprising C-X-C and C=X bonds, and is functionalized with XH, XR or a complex or salt; (2) a method for preparing a chalcogen-grafted carbon, which involves disposing a polyaromatic carbon in a first compartment and a chalcogen in a second compartment, where the first and second compartments are connected to allow gaseous exchange without direct physical contact between the polyaromatic carbon and chalcogen, simultaneously heating the first compartment at a first temperature and the second compartment at a second temperature, where the first temperature is higher than the second temperature and the second temperature allows the sublimation of the chalcogen; and (3) a method for producing a functionalized chalcogen-grafted carbon, which involves reacting a chalcogen-grafted carbon with a nucleophile, an oxidant such as nitric acid or nitrogen, a reducing agent such as UAIH4, a metal or a metallic salt or complex. X=chalcogen covalently linked to the carbon; and R=functional group, or X of a second functionalized chalcogen-grafted carbon linked by a dichalcogenide bond.
