NOVELTY - The method for preparing graphene aqueous lubricating additive involves (a) reacting homogeneous mixing system (i) comprising amino protecting group compound and ethanolamine to form amino-protected ethanolamine, (b) reacting a homogeneous mixing system (ii) comprising polyethylene glycol, bridging agent and amino-protected ethanolamine to form amino group-containing polyethylene glycol derivative, and (c) subjecting the amino group-containing polyethylene glycol derivative as modifier and carboxylated graphene to amidation reaction to form a single-ended polyethylene glycol derivative-modified carboxylated graphene with an amino group to obtain graphene aqueous lubricating additive. USE - Method is useful for preparing graphene aqueous lubricating additive, which is useful in aqueous-based lubricant for preparing micro-mechanical lubricating fluid, aqueous hydraulic fluid and cold rolling fluid (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple and energy-efficient preparation of graphene aqueous lubricating additive with excellent wear resistance, safety performance and cooling performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) the graphene aqueous lubricating additive prepared by the above method; and (2) aqueous-based lubricant, which comprises 0.005-0.1 wt.% graphene aqueous lubricating additive and water.
