NOVELTY - The device has a heat carrier fluid volume region in which a heat carrier fluid (F) flow, and a phase change material volume region which contains a phase change material (P). The phase change material undergoes a reversible phase change between a first state and a second state, at a phase change temperature. The heat carrier fluid volume region adjoins the phase change material volume region through boundary surfaces. The volume regions are arranged in a container (B) having a container inner wall, a container outer wall and a thermally insulating installation region which is arranged between the container inner wall and the container outer wall. The walls are formed from a carbon/polymer composite material having carbon allotrope such as expanded graphite, graphene, fullerenes or carbon nanotubes. USE - Device for receiving, storing and releasing heat. ADVANTAGE - The uncontrolled supply of heat from outside the device into the phase change material inside the device is minimized. The stability of the inner wall of the container is ensured, when the store is being loaded and while the load is being held.
