▎ 摘 要

NOVELTY - Nano graphene-enhanced particulate formed of a single or many graphene sheets and many fine anode active material particles with a size smaller than 10 mu m, where the graphene sheets and the particles are mutually bonded or agglomerated into the particulate with at least a graphene sheet embracing the anode active material particles, and the graphene is present at at least 0.01 % to less than 99 wt.% and the anode active material is present at at least 0.1 wt.%, all based on the total weight of the particulate, is claimed. USE - The nano graphene-enhanced particulate is useful as a lithium-ion battery anode active material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene-enhanced particulates exhibits high reversible capacity, low irreversible capacity, high tap density, electrode fabrication ease (i.e. shape of secondary particles typically spherical or near spherical), small primary particle sizes (for high-rate capacity), compatibility with commonly used electrolytes (embracing graphene sheets help to isolate active material particles from electrolyte) and long charge-discharge cycle life. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) a lithium ion battery anode comprising the multiple nano graphene-enhanced anode particulates; and (2) a lithium ion battery comprising the anode, a cathode, a separator disposed between the anode and the cathode, and electrolyte in physical contact with both the anode and the cathode.
