NOVELTY - A 3D graphene-nickel cobalt oxide composite preparing method involves dispersing graphene oxide in ethyl alcohol solution, adding nickel salt and cobalt salt to mixture, transferring the mixture to a microwave heating device, and heating the mixture under microwaves. Alkali source is added to mixture, reacted and cooled. The obtained mixture is centrifuged and precipitate is collected. The precipitate is washed and dried. The obtained composite material is placed in a tubular furnace followed by sintering the material, and collecting precipitate to obtain the finished product. USE - Method for preparing 3D graphene-nickel cobalt oxide composite that is utilized in an electrode material of supercapacitor (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparing 3D graphene-nickel cobalt oxide composite with coral shape, excellent conductivity, larger surface area, smaller mass transfer resistance and long service life, and preparing the supercapacitor with better cost and performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A 3D graphene-nickel cobalt oxide composite preparing method involves preparing graphene oxide by Hummers' method, dispersing the graphene oxide in ethyl alcohol solution, adding nickel salt and cobalt salt to the mixture, dispersing the mixture ultrasonically, transferring the mixture to microwave heating device, and heating the mixture under microwaves. Alkali source is added to the mixture and reacted and cooled. The obtained mixture is centrifuged and precipitate is collected. The precipitate is washed with anhydrous ethyl alcohol and dried to obtain laminated graphene oxide-nickel cobalt hydroxide composite material. The obtained composite material is placed in tubular furnace, followed by sintering the material, and collecting precipitate to obtain the finished product. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for utilizing the 3D graphene-nickel cobalt oxide composite in electrode material of supercapacitor, which involves mixing 3D graphene-nickel cobalt oxide composite with acetylene black, stirring the mixture uniformly, and coating the mixture on nickel foam surface of electrodes.
