▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - The assembly (101) has a medium/long wave infrared (MW/LW IR) assembly (110), and multiple UV/visible and near IR (VNIR)/short wave IR (SWIR) assemblies (130). The MW/LW IR assembly comprises a carbon nanotube (CNT) forest layer configured to emit radiation responsive to an application of heat. The MW/LW IR assembly comprises thermally conductive and thermally nonconductive layers. The thermally conductive layer comprises a CNT sheet, a graphene sheet and a substrate formed of semiconductor, ceramic and diamond. The thermally non-conductive layer comprises an adhesive and silicon dioxide. The MW/LW IR assembly comprises a heating element to apply heat to the CNT forest layer. USE - Broadband calibrator assembly for providing radiation within band of frequencies from UV through longwave infrared (LWIR) for calibration purpose. ADVANTAGE - The thermal modulating elements serve to thermally control the MW/LW IR assembly and are thermally isolated from the panel so that heat does not affect various operations of each of the multiple UV/VNIR/SWIR assemblies. The broadband calibrator is located at the pupil of an imaging system to produce uniform illumination on the detector element, and the broadband calibrator is positioned at other locations in the optical path in a manner that produces a repeatable and characterizable illumination pattern on the detector element. The provision of the MW/LW IR assembly and multiple UV/VNIR/SWIR assemblies in a compact, thin-profile package is capable of broadband calibration with 90% reduced power consumption, 70% reduced size and 70% reduced weight as compared to conventional broadband calibrators. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for operating medium/long wave infrared assembly and multiple UV/visible and near infrared/short wave infrared assemblies packaged into broadband calibrator assembly.
