NOVELTY - A 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) functioned graphene material enhanced silica gel is made by adding graphene oxide to APTES; performing reflux reaction for 24 hours at 70 degrees C; obtaining black uniform dispersion; filtering the dispersion; cleaning it by dispersing to absolute ethyl alcohol; filtering the dispersion; cleaning and drying material in vacuum dryer to obtain APTES functioned graphene material; adding alcohol, secondary water and formic acid; heating and hydrolyzing them; and adding sol to die. USE - Method for manufacturing APTES functioned graphene material enhanced silica gel (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is capable of providing APTES functioned graphene material enhanced silica gel having increased compression strength, preferably increased by 20%; and flexibility that is increased by 92%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Manufacturing 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) functioned graphene material enhanced silica gel, comprises: (A) adding graphene oxide to APTES; performing reflux reaction for 24 hours at 70 degrees C; obtaining black uniform dispersion, a concentration of graphene oxide in the APTES being 0.1-1 mg/mL; filtering the dispersion using 0.22 mu m nylon filter membrane; cleaning it by dispersing it to absolute ethyl alcohol; filtering the dispersion using 0.22 mu m nylon filter membrane; cleaning it with absolute ethyl alcohol; and drying the material in vacuum dryer to obtain APTES functioned graphene material; and (B) adding alcohol, secondary water and formic acid; heating and hydrolyzing them, a volume ratio of the APTES, alcohol, secondary water and formic acid being 50:12:16:1; adding sol to the die; putting the die in environment for 5 days at 70 degrees C; and obtaining APTES functioned graphene material enhanced silica gel. The APTES is silica gel with terminal group as -NH2 and comprises 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N-aminoethyl-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTMOS), N-aminoethyl-3-aminopropylmethyl diethoxysilane, and N-aminoethyl-3-aminopropyl triethoxy silane.
