NOVELTY - A phosphorescent quantum dot composite material comprises manganese-doped zinc sulfide phosphorescent quantum dot and reduced graphene oxide. USE - Phosphorescent quantum dot composite material for detecting melamine (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The phosphorescent quantum dot composite material has excellent phosphorescent emission characteristics, long service life, low toxicity, and high sensitivity and selectivity, and is prepared using easily available raw materials in simple manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of phosphorescent quantum dot composite material, which involves adding zinc salt, manganese salt, mercapto amino acid and alcohol amine to water in reactor, regulating pH value of reaction system to 9-11 using alkaline reagent, adding sulfur source, controlling temperature at 45-55 degrees C, purifying and drying, and re-dissolving in water to obtain manganese-doped zinc sulfide phosphorescent quantum dot solution, and adding reduced graphene oxide to quantum dot solution, ultrasonically mixing, filtering, washing and drying; and (2) application of phosphorescent quantum dot composite material for detecting melamine.
