NOVELTY - Preparation of carbon material from heavy oil slurry, involves carbonizing heavy oil slurry and iron salt in inert atmosphere to obtain pyrolysis gas and porous carbon material, condensing the cracking gas, catalytically cracking oil-gas component with boiling point below 50 degrees C to obtain carbon nano material. The distillation range of heavy oil slurry is more than 500 degrees C and colloid content of heavy oil slurry is 10-40 wt.%. The asphaltene content of heavy oil slurry is 5-20 wt.%. The solid content of heavy oil slurry is 2-7 g/L. USE - Preparation of carbon material from heavy oil slurry. ADVANTAGE - The method provides two-stage cracking technology. The heavy oil slurry contained in non-ideal heavy component is capable of producing each type of nano-carbon material with higher value.
