NOVELTY - A polycarbonate-modified material comprises 10-15 pts. wt. basalt fiber, 0.001-0.003 pt. wt. graphene, 8-12 pts. wt. modifier, 10-15 pts. wt. poly(phenylene ether), 35-45 pts. wt. polycarbonate, 0.3-0.8 pt. wt. coupling agent and 0.1-0.3 pt. wt. cross-linking agent. The modifier is mixture of ethyl acetate and poly(acrylic acid). The coupling agent is methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane coupling agent. The cross-linking agent is 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane. The polymerization degree of polycarbonate is 1800-2600. USE - Polycarbonate-modified material is used for jacket layer of cable. ADVANTAGE - The polycarbonate-modified material effectively increases tensile property of cable and retains excellent processability. The basalt fiber effectively increases tensile strength of polycarbonate.
