NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide separating film, comprises magnetically stirring concentrated sulfuric acid, potassium persulfate, phosphorus pentoxide and high purity flake graphite, reacting, and cooling; suction filtering the obtained mixed solution to obtain pre-oxidized graphite; stirring the pre-oxidized graphite with concentrated sulfuric acid, reacting to obtain golden yellow uniform suspension; centrifuging to obtain graphite oxide; ultrasonically dispersing to obtain aqueous solution of graphene oxide; and immersing the obtained stainless steel mesh in graphene oxide solution, and drying. USE - The graphene oxide separating film is useful for efficient oil-water separation (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide separating film has excellent hydrophilic performance. The method is simple and easy, safe, and environmental-friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene oxide separating film, comprises (i) magnetically stirring concentrated sulfuric acid, potassium persulfate, phosphorus pentoxide and high purity flake graphite at 80 degrees C, reacting for 5 hours, and cooling to room temperature; (ii) suction filtering the obtained mixed solution with polytetrafluoroethylene membrane, washing with water, adjusting the filtrate pH until neutral, to obtain black powder on the filter, namely pre-oxidized graphite; (iii) magnetically stirring the pre-oxidized graphite with concentrated sulfuric acid at 0 degrees C, reacting for 15 minutes, adding the mixture into potassium permanganate, reacting at 35 degrees C for 2 hours; adding water and hydrogen peroxide into the mixture, to obtain golden yellow uniform suspension; (iv) centrifuging the uniform suspension, cleaning, and drying at 60 degrees C, to obtain graphite oxide; (v) ultrasonically dispersing the graphite oxide in water to obtain aqueous solution of graphene oxide; (vi) formulating 15% dilute hydrochloric acid solution, adding hydrogen peroxide, immersing 300 stainless steel mesh in mixed solution, removing and allowing to stand for 15 minutes, then rinsing with deionized water until neutral, and drying at 80 degrees C for 1 hour; and (vii) immersing the obtained stainless steel mesh in graphene oxide solution, allowing to stand for 5 minutes, then placing in a vertical dry box, and drying at 60 degrees C for 6 hours.
