NOVELTY - Adduct of metal comprising copper, silver, gold, or its mixture, with an adduct of a sp2 carbon allotrope and/or its derivative and substituted pyrrole compound, is new. USE - The adduct of metal is useful for treating bacterial infection. Test details are described but no results given. ADVANTAGE - The adduct has antibacterial activity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Adduct of metal comprising copper, silver, gold, or its mixture, with an adduct of a sp2 carbon allotrope and/or its derivative and substituted pyrrole compound of formula (I), is new. R1-R4 = H, 1-3C linear or branched alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl or alkynyl, 1-6C linear or branched aryl, alkyl-aryl, 2-6C linear or branched alkenyl-aryl, 2-6C linear or branched alkynyl-aryl, or heteroaryl; Y1, Z1, W1 = H, 1-6C linear or branched alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl or alkynyl or substituted hydrocarbon moieties of formulae (-C(-O-R5)(R6)-C(R7)(R8)-O-R9) (II), (-(-C(R10)(R11)-O-R13) (III), (-C(=O)-O-R14) (IV), (-C(R15)(R16)a(S)b-R17) (V), (-C(R18)(R19)c-O)d(R20) (VI), or (-C(R21)(R22)e-Si(O-R23)(O-R24)(O-R25)) (VII); R5-R24 = H, 1-6C linear or branched alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl or alkynyl, 1-6C linear or branched aryl, alkyl, 2-6C linear or branched alkenyl-aryl, linear or branched 2-6C alkenyl-aryl, heteroaryl and carboxyl; b = 1-4; and a, c, d and e = 1-12. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing adduct, comprising (i) providing a solution and/or suspension of (I) in a protic or aprotic polar solvent, (ii) providing a mixture of the carbon allotrope in a protic or aprotic polar solvent used for preparing solution and/or suspension in step (i), (iii) mixing solution and/or suspension (i) and mixture (ii), (iv) stirring, (v) removing the solvent from the obtained mixture if necessary, (vi) providing energy, (vii) dispersing the obtained mixture in the protic or aprotic polar solven if necessary, (viii) adding a salt of the metal soluble in the protic or aprotic polar solvent, (ix) stirring, and (x) removing the solvent from the obtained mixture if necessary.
