NOVELTY - An electrochemical glucose sensor electrode comprises graphene composite fiber, gold nanosheets modified on the graphene composite fiber, and nickel(II) hydroxide nanoparticles modified on the gold nanosheets. USE - The electrochemical glucose sensor electrode is useful for onitoring glucose in clinical diagnosis and treatment of diabetes, food industry and agricultural applications. ADVANTAGE - The electrochemical glucose sensor electrode has excellent flexibility, and high sensitivity and test performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the electrochemical glucose sensor electrode, which involves: (S1) obtaining a graphene oxide fiber based on graphene oxide solution, heating, and reducing under argon gas to obtain graphene fiber; (S2) taking the graphene fiber as a working electrode, platinum electrode as a counter electrode, and silver/silver chloride electrode as a reference electrode, and electrodepositing gold in chloroauric acid solution to obtain graphene fiber/gold graphene composite fiber; and (S3) taking the graphene fiber/gold graphene composite fiber as a working electrode, platinum electrode as a counter electrode, and silver/silver chloride electrode as a reference electrode, and electrodepositing nickel(II) hydroxide in nickel(II) nitrate solution to obtain graphene fiber/gold/nickel(II) hydroxide composite fiber electrode.
