NOVELTY - Lithium ion battery diaphragm comprises a base film comprising active carbon and positive temperature coefficient material. The two side surfaces of the base film is provided with a coating comprises graphene oxide and positive temperature coefficient material. The active carbon is mesoporous active carbon. The positive temperature coefficient material comprises at least one of niobium titanate, tantalum titanate, strontium titanate, barium titanate, and /or lead titanate. The base film comprises polyolefin film, polyolefin composite film, polyimide film, and/or non-woven microporous film. USE - The lithium ion battery diaphragm is useful for lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The lithium ion battery diaphragm: has high liquid absorption, liquid retention rate and absorbing gas generated in the battery, high heat resistance, excellent heat dissipation performance; improves battery life cycle and safety performance; and inhibits lithium precipitation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing lithium ion battery diaphragm using solvent N-methyl pyrrolidone and the bonding agent preferably polyvinylidene fluoride.
