NOVELTY - Method for modifying acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene (ABS) comprises (i) weighing each component raw material according to the weight ratio, where the raw material comprises ABS, titanium dioxide, carbon nanotubes, toughener, plasticizer, compatibilizer, cold-resistant agent, antioxidant, UV resistance agent and dispersant, (ii) adding the ABS, toughener and plasticizer into the mixer, and stirring uniformly at a low-speed, (iii) adding compatibilizer, stirring uniformly, (iv) adding titanium dioxide to the mixer and stirring, (v) adding carbon nanofiber and stirring evenly, (vi) adding antioxidant and uniformly stirring, and mixing the obtained material into a double-screw material making machine for mixing and granulating, the rotating speed of the main machine is 80-100 revolutions/minute (rpm), the feeding speed is 30-40 (rpm), screw heating temperature is 200-230℃. USE - Method for modifying ABS modified method for power battery shell. Uses include but are not limited to automobile instrument desk, household appliance shell, office supplies and pipe section. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the mechanical property and flame retardant property of the ABS material.
