NOVELTY - Preparing rhizome and stem type traditional Chinese medicine residue-based porous carbon electrode material, comprises (i) pre-carbonizing rhizome and stem type traditional Chinese medicine residue under protective atmosphere to obtain pre-carbonized product, where the rhizome and stem type traditional Chinese medicinal residue is garden burnet, Salvia miltiorrhiza, rhizoma dioscoreae hypoglaucae, radix codonopsitis, radix bupleuri, radix scutellariae, leaky reed and fleece-flower root; and (ii) mixing the pre-carbonized product with the activator, performing activation pyrolysis under protective atmosphere, and processing. USE - The electrode and electrode material is useful for preparing an electrode and super capacitor and/or lithium ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The porous carbon electrode material has high specific surface area, stable structure, high capacity and cycle stability and is rich in micropores, improves the existing porous carbon preparation process, and realizes the resource utilization of traditional Chinese medicine residue. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a rhizome and stem type traditional Chinese medicine residue-based porous carbon electrode material obtained by the above mentioned method; #a rhizome and stem type traditional Chinese medicine residue-based porous carbon electrode, comprising rhizome and stem type traditional Chinese medicine residue-based porous carbon electrode material, conductive material and adhesive; #preparing rhizome and stem type traditional Chinese medicine residue-based porous carbon electrode, comprising (a) uniformly mixing the rhizome and stem type traditional Chinese medicine residue-based porous carbon electrode material, the conductive substance and the adhesive, and demulsifying to obtain the coating material, and (b) coating the coating material on the carrier, drying and compacting.
