NOVELTY - A renewable photocatalyst comprises a composite material formed by titanium dioxide and graphene oxide. USE - Renewable photocatalyst used for decomposition of hydrogen sulfide to produce hydrogen (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has hydrogen production efficiency that is 2.5 times of titanium dioxide photocatalyst. It can be regenerated by simple and low cost method, and the activity of the regenerated catalyst is more than 90% of unused catalyst. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) decomposition of hydrogen sulfide, comprising absorbing hydrogen sulfide gas by water or aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide, and irradiating sample solution with light source of a metal halogen lamp similar to solar spectrum until totally inactivating; and (2) regeneration of inactivated catalyst, comprising cleaning the inactivated catalyst with organic solvent.
