NOVELTY - An epoxy neutron shielding material comprises 30-120 pts. wt. epoxy resin, 10-30 pts. wt. polyfunctional glycidyl ether resin, 10-100 pts. wt. curing agent, 5-20 pts. wt. thinner, 5-50 pts. wt. graphene oxide/bismuth oxide hybrid material, and 5-20 pts. wt. radiation protection additive. USE - Epoxy neutron shielding material for shielding neutrons (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The epoxy neutron shielding material has excellent neutron shielding performance, mechanical properties, thermal aging performance, high resistance to temperature, radiation stability performance, and has excellent gamma -ray shielding performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of epoxy neutron shielding material, which involves (1) mixing epoxy resin, polyfunctional glycidyl ether resin, and thinner, performing vacuum defoaming for 0.5-2 hours, obtaining component (A), (2) mixing t graphene oxide/bismuth oxide hybrid material, radiation protection additive, thinner and curing agent, performing vacuum defoaming for 0.5-2 hours, obtaining component (B), (3) mixing components (A) and component (B), performing vacuum defoaming for 0.5-2 hours, obtaining mixed solution, (4) curing the mixed solution at 70-150 degrees C for 1-2 hours, heating to 100-160 degrees C at a rate of 5-10 degrees C/minute for 1-2 hours, raising the temperature to 160-230 degrees C at a rate of 5-10 degrees C /minute for 1-4 hours, and discharging.
