NOVELTY - Process of producing cathode electrocatalyst for metal-air batteries, involves providing carbon source suspension that includes inorganic carbon source, metal source solution including metal source and having pH value ranging from 6.5-10.5, and nitrogen source solution including nitrogen source, metal source being formed from soluble ionic compound, nitrogen source being formed from nitrogen-containing organic compound; subjecting carbon source suspension and metal source solution to a low-temperature hydrothermal reaction to form first precursor-containing product that includes first precursor, metal source from metal source solution being doped on surface of inorganic carbon source from carbon source suspension to form first precursor of first precursor-containing product, subjecting first precursor-containing product and nitrogen source solution to high-temperature hydrothermal reaction, so that nitrogen source from nitrogen source solution is decomposed to form nitrogen atoms. USE - Process of producing cathode electrocatalyst for metal-air batteries. ADVANTAGE - The carbon source suspension may be prepared by dispersing inorganic carbon source in dispersion medium.
