▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - The apparatus (10) has an oxidation cell such as electrochemical cell configured to oxidize carbon monoxide (22) to produce carbon dioxide (24). A sensor (30) such as graphene-based sensor comprising graphene incorporated composite is configured to detect carbon dioxide produced by the oxidation cell. A polymer electrolyte provides a proton path between the anode and the cathode of cell separate to the electrical path. The anode comprises platinum as a catalyst and metal oxide. USE - Apparatus for detecting carbon monoxide. ADVANTAGE - A robust and low cost detector for carbon monoxide is provided. The catalytic performance can be improved, if metal oxides are included in the catalytic system. The comparison of the sensor signal to the reference signal can improve the accuracy of detection of carbon monoxide. The carbon monoxide absorber prevents the carbon monoxide from reaching the reference sensor. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method of carbon monoxide detection.
