NOVELTY - A composition of matter comprises redox-active supramolecular polymer binder and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) modified graphene oxide-sulfur (GO-S) nanocomposite, in which GO further contains functional groups and S is bonded to carbon atoms. USE - A composition of matter used as electrode for battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - Cathode performance is improved, cell impedance is dramatically reduced, and stable high-rate cycling is achieved. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) electrode comprising redox-active supramolecular polymer binder and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) modified graphene oxide-sulfur (GO-S) nanocomposite, in which GO further contains functional groups and S is bonded to carbon atoms; and (2) battery comprising cathode comprising redox-active supramolecular polymer binder and CTAB modified GO-S nanocomposite, separator, anode and electrolyte.
