▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Green bismuth molybdate (Bi2MoO6) and its composites are synthesized by slowly adding 0.05 M bismuth nitrate pentahydrate to 10 ml leaf extract by varying synthesis conditions (pH 2, 7, and 11) under magnetic stirring to obtain solution (A); dropwise adding 0.05 M solution of ammonium molybdate to obtained solution under vigorous stirring; stirring obtained solution for one hour at room temperature and keeping in an oven; separating resulting product by centrifugation and washing thrice with ethanol and double distilled water to remove impurities, and drying in an oven at 60 degrees C; dissolving 0.05 M potassium iodide, silver nitrate/ammonium molybdate/graphene oxide with different molar ratios in 100 ml double distilled water to obtain solution (B); adding solution (B) to solution (A) under vigorous stirring for one hour and keeping in an oven; and separating resulting product by centrifugation and washing thrice with ethanol and double distilled water to remove the impurities. USE - Synthesis of green bismuth molybdate (Bi2MoO6) and its composites. ADVANTAGE - The enhanced photocatalytic activity of Bi2MoO6 and its composites is attributed to the role of plant extract that added additional features to green samples, such as smaller size, mesoporous structure with higher surface area, lower band gap, and effective separation of electron-hole pairs.
