NOVELTY - The system (100) comprises a multiplexor that is configured to selectively provide electrical communication between the Capacitance to digital converter (CDC) and multiple graphene varactors. A controller circuit is configured to receive an electrical signal reflecting the capacitance of the graphene varactors at multiple DC bias voltages. The CDC is in electrical communication with the graphene varactors and is configured to measure the capacitance of the graphene varactor in response to an excitation signal over the range of DC bias voltages. The measured capacitance across the range of DC bias voltages forms a unit of a pattern for a given sample. The excitation signal is applied to a selected graphene varactor through the multiplexor. A computing device (182) is configured to record the measured capacitance values across the range of DC bias voltages. USE - System for measuring analyte presence on a graphene varactor by evaluating capacitance across a range of Direct current (DC) bias voltage. ADVANTAGE - The CDC allows for more precise sensors to accurately and quickly detect multiple different analytes in the same sample. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following : (1) a gas sampling device used with catheters and endoscopy systems for sensing gaseous analytes; and (2) a method for measuring analyte presence on a graphene varactor by evaluating capacitance across a range of DC bias voltages.
