NOVELTY - Method for preparing graphitic carbon nitride/zinc oxide/graphene oxide ternary composite material, involves (i) taking melamine in crucible, placing crucible in muffle furnace, setting termination temperature at 450-550 degrees C, heating at a rate of 23-30 degrees C, reacting for 2-5 hours, reducing temperature to room temperature at cooling rate of 2 degrees C/minute to obtain light yellow product graphitic carbon nitride, grinding, and storing, and (ii) taking graphitic carbon nitride suspension, ultrasonically dispersing for 0.5 hour, dripping zinc acetate while stirring, dripping sodium hydroxide solution, heating in water bath at 80 degrees C, reacting for half an hour, adding nonylphenol polyoxyether ammonium oxide, dripping graphene oxide suspension, ultrasonically treating for 0.5-1 hour, transferring mixed solution to PTFE-lined reaction kettle, placing in blast drying oven at 100-160 degrees C for 3-5 hours, performing suction filtration, washing with water and ethanol, and drying at 90-110 degrees C for 3 hours. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphitic carbon nitride/zinc oxide/graphene oxide ternary composite material for degrading methyl orange (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and fast, ensures methyl orange degradation rate of more than 90% under natural light, which can be recycled. The composite material accelerates the transport of photogenerated carriers to the surface of semiconductor particles, and improve the quantum efficiency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for preparing graphitic carbon nitride/zinc oxide/graphene oxide ternary composite material, involves (i) taking 5-10 g melamine in a crucible, placing the crucible in a muffle furnace, setting the termination temperature at 450-550 degrees C, heating at a rate of 23-30 degrees C, reacting at constant temperature for 2-5 hours, reducing the temperature to room temperature at a cooling rate of 2 degrees C/minute to obtain a light yellow product graphitic carbon nitride, grinding, and storing, and (ii) taking 10-15 ml 5 wt.% graphitic carbon nitride suspension, ultrasonically dispersing for 0.5 hour, dripping 3-5 g zinc acetate while stirring, dripping 8-12 ml 0.04 M sodium hydroxide solution, heating in a water bath at 80 degrees C, reacting for half an hour, adding 0.05-0.2 ml nonylphenol polyoxyether ammonium oxide, dripping 0.05 wt.% graphene oxide suspension, ultrasonically treating for 0.5-1 hour, transferring the mixed solution to a PTFE-lined reaction kettle, placing in a blast drying oven at 100-160 degrees C for 3-5 hours, performing suction filtration, washing with water and 95 wt.% ethanol, and drying at 90-110 degrees C for 3 hours. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for degrading methyl orange, which involves taking 50-200 mg graphitic carbon nitride/zinc oxide/graphene oxide ternary composite material in a 50 ml volumetric flask, adding 50 ml 10 mg/l methyl orange solution, ultrasonically dispersing for 30 minutes in the absence of light, adding 1-5 ml 30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide, reacting for 1-4 hours, and placing the volumetric flask under natural light.
