NOVELTY - Polycarboxylate containing aryl based dispersant i.e. pentyl containing poly carboxlate compound (I) is new. USE - (I) is useful in lithium-ion battery slurry and pole piece for lithium-ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - (I): reduces the risk of secondary aggregation of solid particles in the lithium battery slurry; improves the fluidity of the slurry, and then increase the solid content of the electrode active material and coating operability; reduces the resistance of the pole piece, increases the gram capacity of the battery and reduces the alternating current internal resistance of the battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Polycarboxylate containing aryl based dispersant i.e. pentyl containing poly carboxlate compound of formula (I) is new. R'= 1-14C alkyl; M = K+, Na+or Li+; m and n = 0-50; and a-e = 0-30. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for lithium ion battery slurry comprising (I).
