NOVELTY - A slurry composition comprises (a) a binder comprising at least one fluoropolymer, and (b) a solvent system comprising (i) a molecule comprising a sulfoxide functional group and (ii) a polybasic ester and/or glycol ether, and (c) an electroactive material. The solvent system comprises less than 1 wt.% amine compound (I) based on the weight of the solvent system. USE - Slurry composition used for forming electrode e.g. positive electrode and negative electrode for electrical storage device e.g. cell, battery pack, secondary battery, capacitor and supercapacitor (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The slurry composition has room temperature stability of more than 1 week, preferably more than 1 month, and maintains a clear appearance to visual inspection without gelling for a specified period of time. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A slurry composition comprises (a) a binder comprising at least one fluoropolymer, (b) a solvent system comprising (i) a molecule comprising a sulfoxide functional group and (ii) a polybasic ester and/or glycol ether, and (c) an electroactive material. The solvent system comprises less than 1 wt.% amine compound of formula: R1C(=O)NR2R3(I) based on the weight of the solvent system. R =linear or branched 1-6C aliphatic saturated group substituted by -C(=O)OR or -C(=O)NR R ; R=1-6C alkyl; R ,R =methyl or ethyl;and R ,R =methyl or ethyl. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: electrode, which comprises (A) an electrical current collector, and (B) a film; and electrical storage device, which comprises (a) the electrode, (b) an counter electrode, and (c) and electrolyte.
