NOVELTY - Preparing carbon-based catalyst for fuel cell by microwave discharge comprises dispersing surfactant and the metal precursor in the organic solvent to obtain the precursor solution, adding the precursor solution into the carbon material dry, uniformly dispersing, and drying to obtain the carbon material loaded with metal precursor, subjecting the carbon material of the load metal precursor for microwave radiation treatment for multiple times for 10-600 seconds with the microwave radiation power of 500-5000 W to obtain the carbon-based catalyst. USE - The method for preparing carbon-based catalyst by microwave discharge is used in field of electro-catalysis or fuel cell (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method has quickly reduces the metal precursor of carbon material surface effectively dispersing the active component by introducing surfactant, and inhibit the agglomeration of the active component in the reduction process, so as to prepare the carbon-based catalytic material with small size and high dispersion. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a carbon-based catalyst, is prepared as mentioned above.
