NOVELTY - Preparation of aqueous epoxy resin graphene nanocomposite comprises dissolving graphite in mixed concentrated sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, adding potassium permanganate, reacting at 40 degrees C for 10 hours, adding 2 times ice-water solution, stirring, cooling to room temperature, adding 3 times hydrogen peroxide solution, reacting, washing, and drying; adding polyvinylpyrrolidone, magnetic stirring, and adding reducing agent; dispersing in water; adding epoxy resin, stirring at room temperature for 40-70 minutes, and vacuum distilling at 0.1-0.3 MPa; adding curing agent; and mold-casting. USE - Method for preparing aqueous epoxy resin graphene nanocomposite (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, controllable, and easy. The raw materials have excellent interface compatibility. The nanocomposite has increased bonding force, corrosion resistance, and shock resistance and increased hardness by 1.5 times and increased impact resistance by 12 times. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of aqueous epoxy resin graphene nanocomposite comprises: (A) dissolving graphite in mixed concentrated sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, adding potassium permanganate, reacting at 40 degrees C for 10 hours, adding 2 times ice-water solution, stirring, cooling to room temperature, adding 3 times hydrogen peroxide solution, reacting, washing, and drying to obtain oxidized graphene oxide; (B) adding polyvinylpyrrolidone, where mass ratio of graphene oxide to polyvinylpyrrolidone is 5:1-1:5, magnetic stirring, and adding reducing agent to obtain functionalized graphene; (C) dispersing in water to obtain 0.0005-0.01 mg/mL graphene water dispersion; (D) adding epoxy resin, stirring at room temperature for 40-70 minutes, and vacuum distilling at 0.1-0.3 MPa; (E) adding curing agent; and (F) mold-casting at 50-80 degrees C, where amount of functionalized graphene, epoxy resin, and curing agent is 0.005-10%, 43-74%, and 22-47%, respectively.
