NOVELTY - The preparation of small-size graphene oxide, involves mixing purified aphanitic graphite, concentrated acid and strong oxidant uniformly, reacting at 80-120 degrees C in a closed environment, pouring slowly reaction mixture into excess deionized water, mixing and adding 25 %mass concentration hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution to a suspension of brown-yellow or light yellow, pickling, washing until pH value reaches to 6-7, and carrying out centrifugal separation. The volume ratio of purified aphanitic graphite and concentrated acid is 1:20-80. USE - Preparation of small-size graphene oxide (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of economical small-size graphene oxide with high purity and non-toxicity by simple process.
