NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene-coated cadmium sulfide core-shell photocatalytic material involves dissolving cadmium sulfide micro cadmium chloride in distilled water, adding sodium thiosulfate, continuously stirring, performing hydrothermal reaction, naturally-cooling, washing obtained precipitate, drying to obtain cadmium sulfide microspheres, dispersing processed graphene oxide in deionized water to form suspension, adding cadmium sulfide microspheres, magnetically stirring, performing microwave hydrothermal reaction, naturally cooling, centrifugally washing and drying. USE - Preparation of graphene-coated cadmium sulfide core-shell photocatalytic material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The environmentally-friendly and simple method economically provides graphene-coated cadmium sulfide core-shell photocatalytic material having favorable monodispersity and high specific surface area and photocatalytic efficiency in short time. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of graphene-coated cadmium sulfide core-shell photocatalytic material involves preparing graphene oxide using improved Hmnmers method, then taking 1 g preprepared graphene oxide, dispersing in 40 mL deionized water, ultrasonically-treating for 3 hours to obtain lamellar of graphene oxide, placing in oven at 80 degrees C, drying for 3 hours to obtain processed graphene oxide, dissolving prepared cadmium sulfide micro cadmium chloride in distilled water under stirring, adding sodium thiosulfate, continuously stirring for 30 minutes, loading obtained mixed liquid in polytetrafluoroethylene liner having loading capacity of 60 vol.%, then loading the liner into autoclave of stainless steel, placing the autoclave in hydrothermal reactor, performing hydrothermal reaction at 120-160 degrees C for 12-24 hours, taking out reactor, naturally-cooling the reactor to obtain transparent yellow precipitate, washing the yellow precipitate using distilled water and anhydrous ethanol thrice, drying in oven at 80 degrees C for 3 hours to obtain cadmium sulfide microspheres, dispersing processed graphene oxide in deionized water to form graphene oxide suspension, then adding cadmium sulfide microspheres, magnetically stirring at room temperature for 2 hours, performing microwave hydrothermal reaction at 120-180 degrees C for 90-120 minutes, naturally cooling to room temperature, centrifugally washing, then washing using distilled water and anhydrous ethanol thrice, placing obtained powder in drying box, and drying at 80 degrees C for 12 hours.
