NOVELTY - Manufacture of ultra-thin cobalt oxide nanotube-intercalated graphene composite involves mixing ethanol and an ionic liquid to obtain a mixed solution, dispersing the oxidized graphene in the mixed solution to obtain mixture (a), dissolving a cobalt precursor in the mixed solution to obtain mixture (b), mixing the mixture (a) and the mixture (b), stirring, adding an ammonia solution to prepare a slurry, heating the slurry to obtain a graphene composite, washing and drying. USE - Manufacture of ultra-thin cobalt oxide nanotube-intercalated graphene composite (claimed) used as electrode for supercapacitor. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of ultra-thin cobalt oxide nanotube-intercalated graphene composite with excellent electrochemical performance. The supercapacitor formed using the ultra-thin cobalt oxide nanotube-intercalated graphene composite has high discharge rate, and excellent stability and cycle characteristics.
