NOVELTY - A magnetic graphene composite nanomaterial comprises graphene oxide, magnetic nanoparticles and polydopamine shells. The graphene oxide is attached to polydopamine-coated magnetic nanoparticles. The polydopamine acts as a connecting arm between magnetic nanoparticles and graphene. The magnetic nanoparticles are immobilized on the surface of the graphene oxide. USE - Magnetic graphene composite nanomaterial (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The magnetic graphene composite nanomaterial hydrophilic property due to the presence of polydopamine, and can be prepared by simple method under mild reaction conditions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of magnetic graphene composite nanomaterial, which involves preparing citric acid-stabilized magnetic nanoparticles according to the solvothermal method, encapsulating the surface of the magnetic nanoparticles in the alkaline buffer solution with the polybutamine shell, dispersing polydopamine-coated magnetic nanoparticles in deionized water, dispersing graphene oxide in deionized water, mixing obtained solutions, strongly oscillating at room temperature and immobilizing magnetic nanoparticles on the surface of the graphene oxide.
