▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Photocatalytic material comprises metal nanofiber substrate and carbon-based nano-structure, where the carbon-based nano-structure is bound to surface of metal nanofiber substrate. USE - The photocatalytic material is used for converting carbon dioxide to non-carbon dioxide carbon containing product, such as hydrocarbon product comprising methanol and/or ethanol, preferably mixture of methanol and ethanol (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The photocatalytic material enhances the irradiated light to dissociate molecules, has excellent recovering and reusing ability, ensures high total surface area, and prevents multiple metal nanofiber substrates from aggregating to single metal structure. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method for preparing photocatalytic material, involving providing metal nanofiber substrate, and growing from surface of metal nanofiber substrate and carbon-based nanostructure; and (2) a method for converting carbon dioxide to at least one non-carbon dioxide containing product, involves exposing photocatalytic material to carbon dioxide, and irradiating photocatalytic material with light source in presence of carbon dioxide.
