NOVELTY - A monoclonal antibody i.e. an anti-glycophorin A murine monoclonal antibody, is new. USE - The monoclonal antibody is useful in immunosensor for identifying red blood cells present in feces of individuals who may have chronic anemia, and weight loss of unknown cause, and screening early colorectal cancer (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The monoclonal antibody enables to identify presence of blood in small amounts i.e. invisible to naked eye in feces in a simple, non-invasive, cost-effective, rapid and accurate manner while minimizing false positive reactions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for an immunosensor, which comprises the monoclonal antibody.
