NOVELTY - Concrete reinforcing and toughening additive comprises unsaturated polyoxyethylene ether monomer, esterification monomer, quaternary ammonium salt cationic monomer, methacrylic acid, graphene oxide solution, reducing agent, chain transfer agent, and oxidizing agent. USE - Used as concrete reinforcing and toughening additive. ADVANTAGE - The additive has good dispersibility and structural adjustability, can promote cement hydration products in the cement stone to form a neat and regular microstructure, realizes the order of hydration, and has a significant effect on improving the work performance and durability of concrete. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - AN INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for: a method for preparing the additive, comprising (i) adding unsaturated polyoxyethylene ether monomer, esterification monomer, quaternary ammonium salt cationic monomer and methacrylic acid into the graphene oxide solution, ultrasonically treating, adding into the reaction device and heating to 60 degrees C and stirring to form a monomer mixed solution; (ii) adding reducing agent, chain transfer agent and water into the first dropping device; (iii) mixing oxidizing agent and water and adding into the second dropping device; (iv) adding the solutions in the first dropping device and the second dropping device into the reaction device respectively, and reacting at a constant temperature of 60 degrees C; and (v) cooling the reaction temperature to room temperature, and adding neutralizing agent into the reaction device, and adjusting the pH value of the mixed solution to 7-8.
