NOVELTY - A three-dimensional graphene-nickel composite oxide substrate preparation method involves adding phenol with formaldehyde solution, and heating the mixed solution. Sodium hydroxide is added and heated. Non-ionic surface active agent is mixed with water-soluble phenolic resin. The mixture is stirred and diluted. The resulted solution is rinsed in polytetrafluoroethylene and added with nickel foam. The solution is immersed in water. Hydrothermal reaction is performed. The reacted solution is diluted in water and heated dried. The dried product is reacted to obtain a finished product. USE - Method for preparing three-dimensional (3D) graphene-nickel composite oxide substrate. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparing 3D graphene-nickel composite oxide substrate in a simple and convenient manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A three-dimensional graphene-nickel composite oxide substrate preparation method involves adding phenol with formaldehyde solution and heating the mixed solution at 40-43 degrees C. The heated solution is stirred for 5-10 minutes. Sodium hydroxide is added in a reaction system and heated at 50-80 degrees C for 0.5- 2 hours to obtain water soluble phenolic resin. Non-ionic surface active agent aqueous solution is mixed with water-soluble phenolic resin. The mixture is stirred for 2- 4 hours and diluted with water for 1-5 times. The diluted solution is stirred at 67-75 degrees C for 10-15 hours. The resulted solution is rinsed in polytetrafluoroethylene and added with nickel foam. The obtained solution is immersed in water in a reaction kettle for 1-3 hours. Hydrothermal reaction is performed at 120-140 degrees C for 18-24 hours. The reacted solution is diluted in deionized water for 2-6 hours. The reaction product is heated in oven at 20-60 degrees C, and dried for 2- 3 days. The dried product is placed in tubular reaction furnace, and reacted at high temperature under nitrogen or inert gas protection to obtain a finished product, where mass ratio of the sodium hydroxide, phenol and formaldehyde is 1: 2: 0.5-4.
