NOVELTY - Preparation of a graphene-reinforced alumina dispersion strengthened (ODS) copper comprises magnetic stirring a copper salt and aluminum nitrate mixed solution and the graphene dispersion to obtain graphene/copper aluminum salt mixed solution; dropwise adding graphene/copper aluminum salt mixed solution to sodium hydroxide or ammonia solution to obtain copper hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide mixed precipitate of doped graphene; washing, drying, and reducing the precipitate at 400-600 degrees C for 0.5-5 hours; and sintering at 850-1050 degrees C by hot extrusion, hot rolling, and hot forging. USE - Method for preparing a graphene-reinforced alumina dispersion strengthened (ODS) copper. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the graphene in a copper matrix to disperse uniformly, improves interface bonding state between the graphene and the copper, and improves matrix strength thus reducing conductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of a graphene-reinforced alumina dispersion strengthened (ODS) copper comprises: (A) mixing 2-10 wt.% graphene powder and sodium hydroxide solution, alkali washing using diluted hydrochloric acid solution, acid washing and surface pretreating to obtain high surface activity graphene powder, dispersing the graphene powder in sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate aqueous solution to obtain a graphene dispersion; (B) magnetic stirring a copper salt and aluminum nitrate mixed solution and the graphene dispersion to obtain graphene/copper aluminum salt mixed solution; (C) dropwise adding graphene/copper aluminum salt mixed solution to sodium hydroxide or ammonia solution to obtain copper hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide mixed precipitate of doped graphene; (D) washing, drying, and reducing the precipitate at 400-600 degrees C for 0.5-5 hours to obtain graphene/ODS copper composite powder; and (E) sintering at 850-1050 degrees C by hot extrusion, hot rolling, and hot forging.
