NOVELTY - The modulator has a substrate formed with first and second graphene ridge waveguides. The first graphene ridge waveguide is provided with a first ridge part and a horizontal graphene part along upper to lower direction. The horizontal graphene part is formed with an insulating medium layer. A second ridge part is formed with another insulating medium layer. The second graphene ridge waveguide is provided with a third ridge part. The first and second graphene ridge waveguides are fixed with an insulation layer. The medium layers are made of semiconductor oxide material. USE - Polarization graphene sensitive light modulator. ADVANTAGE - The modulator has TE and TM mode refractive index so as to achieve incident light wave polarization. The modulator reduces size and volume of light modulator and increases operating speed. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The semiconductor oxide material is formed by silicon, germanium, germanium-silicon alloy and III-V semiconductor or light refractive index semiconductor.
