NOVELTY - Soluble powder comprises: homogenous composite particles comprising at least one soluble thermoplastic material and at least one submicron nanoparticle material; where the at least one soluble thermoplastic material comprises about 50-99 wt.% of the powder. The submicron nanoparticle material comprises 1-50 wt.% powder. The powder is soluble. USE - Soluble powder, such as composite powder used as coating additive, additive in personal care products to improve SPF protection, additive to improve corrosion resistance in a surface coating, and additive to improve electrostatic dissipation in a surface coating (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The soluble composite powder enables to improve surface durability, improve SPF protection, improve corrosion resistance in a surface coating, and improve electrostatic dissipation in a surface coating. The thermoplastic composites are significantly easier to disperse. The potential health and safety concerns with the handling, breathing, ingesting, or touching submicron and/or nanoparticles is avoided with a submicron soluble thermoplastic composite powder. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a composite powder, which comprises at least one soluble thermoplastic material, and at least one submicron nanoparticle material, where at least one submicron nanoparticle material is dispersed in at least one soluble thermoplastic material homogenously.
