NOVELTY - Method for manufacturing silicon/graphene composite material, involves (a) mixing the silicon source and the graphite oxide in water ultrasonically, and freeze-drying the mixture to to obtain freeze-dried powder, (b) performing reduction reaction to dried powder in non-oxidizing atmosphere, and obtaining silicon/graphene composite material after the reaction. USE - The method is useful for manufacturing silicon/graphene composite material which is used as cell or electrode material comprising energy storage element including lithium ion battery, and portable electronic device including camera, video camera, MP3, MP4, mobile phone or a notebook computer (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method can be performed within two steps without template, has high practical degree. The manufactured silicon/graphene composite material is integrated with advantages of graphite vinyl composite material and porous materials, prevents problems of low specific capacity, bad cycle performance and multiplying power performance, and low coulomb efficiency of the lithium ion battery cathode material.
