▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - The phononic structure has a sheet that is made of a material selected from the group consisting of silicon, graphene, germanium, silicon-germanium and lead telluride. The sheet is comprised with adjacent regions having dissimilar phononic patterns. The adjacent regions are comprised with dissimilar phonon energy band structures. Another material is selected from the group consisting of thermal insulators, polymers, glasses, ceramics, aerogels, natural materials and epoxies. USE - Phononic structure of thermoelectric device (claimed) such as thermoelectric cooler/heater, and used for thermoelectric electricity generation. ADVANTAGE - The thermal conductivity of the material can be controlled independent of the electrical conductivity. The fabrication of the phononic structure can be performed easily, and reduced cost can be achieved. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a thermoelectric device; and (2) a method for fabricating a phononic structure.
