NOVELTY - Polyolefin composition comprises (a) an olefin polymer base resin having a first electrical conductivity, and (b) graphene nanoplatelets, where the polyolefin composition has a second electrical conductivity, the second electrical conductivity of the polyolefin composition is lower than, the same, or a factor of less than 3 higher as the first electrical conductivity of the olefin polymer base resin (a), the olefin polymer base resin (a) is an ethylene- alpha -olefin copolymer having a density of 860-915 kg/m3 and a melt flow rate (MFR2) (190 degrees C/2.16 kg) measured according to ISO 1133 of 0.5-50 g/10 minutes, and the polyolefin composition contains 0.5-30 wt.% graphene nanoplatelets (b). USE - The polyolefin composition is used in an article, where the article includes a cable joint, a layer of a power cable, a pipe or an automotive part, preferably in a layer of a power cable (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The polyolefin composition has improved mechanical performance and invariant electrical conductivity.
