NOVELTY - Preparation method of modified graphene oxide involves (a) heating oleic acid, adding diethylamine, heating, cooling, adding diethylamine and potassium hydroxide, reacting, adding boric acid and heating to obtain black oily liquid, (b) mixing graphene oxide, thionyl chloride and dimethylformamide, heating, adding ethanolamine and black oily liquid, heating and reacting to obtain modified graphene oxide crude product, and (c) cooling the modified graphene oxide crude product, filtering, washing the solid phase, drying and crushing to obtain the modified graphene oxide. USE - Method is useful for preparing modified graphene oxide, which is useful in the preparation of lubricating materials. ADVANTAGE - The method ensures simple preparation of modified graphene oxide with high biodegradability and improved lubricating performance. The modified graphene oxide increases friction coefficient reduction amount of lubricating oil to 40-60%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation method of modified graphene oxide involves (a) heating oleic acid at 80-120 degrees C, adding diethylamine, heating at 140-160 degrees C under stirring condition for 4-6 hours, cooling to 60-90 degrees C, adding diethylamine and potassium hydroxide, reacting, adding boric acid and heating at 120-140 degrees C using distilled water to obtain black oily liquid, (b) mixing graphene oxide, thionyl chloride and dimethylformamide, heating at 60-80 degrees C under nitrogen protection condition to remove excessive thionyl chloride, adding ethanolamine and black oily liquid, heating at 110-130 degrees C and reacting to obtain modified graphene oxide crude product, and (c) cooling the modified graphene oxide crude product, filtering, washing the solid phase, drying and crushing to obtain the modified graphene oxide.
