NOVELTY - Method for preparing spherical graphene oxide, involves uniformly dispersing graphene oxide and modifier to obtain graphene oxide material liquid, and spray-drying and assembling the graphene oxide material liquid, where the modifier is used to introduce 3-8C hydrocarbyl and/or substituted hydrocarbyl groups, and optional aromatic groups and/or substituted aromatic groups, and the graphene oxide material liquid comprises 0.05-1 wt.% graphene oxide and 0.03-0.10 wt.% modifier. USE - The method is useful for preparing spherical graphene oxide used for preparing supported catalyst and composite material (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The spherical graphene oxide is more conducive to processing and transportation and suitable for large-scale industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method for preparing a supported catalyst, which involves executing the above method, and co-spraying the graphene oxide material liquid with other catalyst carriers except graphene oxide, catalysts, catalyst precursors and/or catalytic agent during the spray-drying process; and (2) a composite material obtained by polymerizing spherical graphene oxide with resin monomer.
