NOVELTY - Preparing sulfide quantum dot modified graphene/zinc oxide nanosphere photocatalytic material comprises (i) adding 5-15 ml graphene solution having a concentration of 0.8-1.2 g/l into 10-20 ml deionized water and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain aqueous uniformly dispersed graphene solution, (ii) adding 8-10 g zinc salt into 20-30 ml deionized water to obtain aqueous zinc solution, adding the aqueous zinc solution to the aqueous graphene solution, ultrasonically dispersing, adding cationic surfactant and ultrasonically stirring to obtain graphene/zinc salt solution, (iii) adding alkaline solution into graphene/zinc salt solution under ultrasonic stirring, hydrothermally reacting, washing, centrifugally separating and drying to obtain graphene/zinc oxide nanosphere, and (iv) dispersing 5-10 g graphene/zinc oxide nanosphere in 50-100 ml anhydrous ethanol, stirring and adding 20-45 ml sulfide quantum dot solution, evaporating the solution to dryness and grinding. USE - The method is useful for preparing sulfide quantum dot modified graphene/zinc oxide nanosphere photocatalytic material. ADVANTAGE - The method expands spectral response range of the photocatalytic material, increases photon quantum yield and catalytic activity and promotes recovery of the photocatalytic material in sewage treatment. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing sulfide quantum dot modified graphene/zinc oxide nanosphere photocatalytic material comprises (i) adding 5-15 ml graphene solution having a concentration of 0.8-1.2 g/l into 10-20 ml deionized water and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain aqueous uniformly dispersed graphene solution, (ii) adding 8-10 g zinc salt into 20-30 ml deionized water to obtain aqueous zinc solution, adding the aqueous zinc solution to the aqueous graphene solution, ultrasonically dispersing for 15- 30 minutes, adding 0.5-1 g cationic surfactant and ultrasonically stirring for 15-30 minutes to obtain uniform dispersion of graphene/zinc salt solution, (iii) adding 20-30 ml of alkaline solution with a concentration of 1-2 mol/l into the graphene/zinc salt solution under ultrasonic stirring for 15-30 minutes, transferring the turbid solution into a reaction vessel, hydrothermally reacting at 80-90 degrees C for 12-24 hours, washing the resulting reaction product with water, centrifugally separating, respectively washing with absolute ethanol and deionized water, centrifugally separating to obtain precipitate and drying the precipitate to obtain graphene/zinc oxide nanosphere, and (iv) dispersing 5-10 g graphene/zinc oxide nanosphere in 50-100 ml anhydrous ethanol, stirring and adding 20-45 ml sulfide quantum dot solution, evaporating the solution to dryness and grinding.
