NOVELTY - Preparation of liquid-crystal polyester-grafted graphene oxide compound involves dissolving 3-7 g 4,4'-bis(( beta )-hydroxybutyrate hexyloxy)biphenyl in 50-80 ml N,N-dimethylformamide, adding 1 ml pyridine, heating, adding 2-5 g terephthaloyl chloride, reacting the resultant product, precipitating the resultant product, filtering, vacuum drying, dispersing 10-30 ml mixture of graphene oxide/N,N-dimethylformamide, adding 2 g catalyst, 0.15-0.5 g 4-dimethylaminopyridine and 1-3 g obtained liquid-crystal polyester, stirring, filtering the resultant product, washing and drying. USE - Preparation of liquid-crystal polyester-grafted graphene oxide compound used for reinforced-modified polymer matrix composite. ADVANTAGE - The method economically provides liquid-crystal polyester-grafted graphene oxide compound having excellent polymer interface compatibility, by simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of liquid-crystal polyester-grafted graphene oxide compound involves dissolving 3-7 g 4,4'-bis(( beta )-hydroxybutyrate hexyloxy)biphenyl in 50-80 ml N,N-dimethylformamide, adding 1 ml pyridine, heating the resultant product at 50-70 degrees C, then adding 2-5 g terephthaloyl chloride, reacting the resultant product at 50-70 degrees C for 6-10 hours, pouring the resultant product into distilled water, precipitating the resultant product, filtering, vacuum drying to obtain liquid-crystal polyester, ultrasonically dispersing 10-30 ml mixture of graphene oxide/N,N-dimethylformamide, adding 2 g catalyst, 0.15-0.5 g 4-dimethylaminopyridine and 1-3 g obtained liquid-crystal polyester, stirring the resultant product at 30-40 degrees C for 8-10 hours, filtering the resultant product, washing and drying. The catalyst is chosen from N,N-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide and N,N-diisopropylcarbodiimide.
